The Why's

Why We Are Here

We believe education should be more than just meeting standards, it should meet the child. We’ve seen firsthand the need for alternative education options that prioritize the whole person—not just academics. Many traditional classrooms are built around control, conformity, and test scores. But children are not one-size-fits-all. They are individuals, each with a unique design, pace, and purpose.

Why It Works

Studies show that children learn best when they are engaged, when the material is relevant, and when they are given the freedom to explore it at their own pace. That’s exactly what we offer, a space that is calm, creative, and full of grace. We guide learners with compassion, not pressure. We nurture their God-given gifts, help them face challenges with confidence, and celebrate who they are becoming—not just what they know.

We draw inspiration from the Montessori method, which has long recognized that children thrive when trusted with independence. Montessori’s child-led approach fosters deep focus, responsibility, and self-motivation. Over time, this builds more than academic skills, it cultivates lifelong confidence and inner security. Children feel capable because they are capable. They learn how to think, not just what to think.

Who We Serve

We welcome both neurotypical and neurodivergent children. Every learner is treated with dignity, patience, and respect. Our flexible, supportive environment allows each child to flourish in the way that suits them best. We believe that when the spirit of the child is honored, real growth—academic, emotional, and spiritual—can happen.

In short, we’re here to reimagine education as it should be: joyful, freeing, grounded in truth, and full of grace.

Ms. Krystal is the founder of Hallelujah Hill Learning House. She lives in Corinth, where she grew up. She is the mother of 8 and grandmother of 1 sweet grandboy! After 13 years (and counting) of homeschooling her own children and the prompting of friends, she decided to offer a child-oriented learning space in a Christian environment, partnering with families for the varying needs and unique learning styles of their children.

Krystal has studied the Montessori Method and has long embraced the principles of Unschooling. Through both learning and lived experience, she’s seen a beautiful truth: children flourish when given the freedom to move, follow their God-given curiosities, and learn through meaningful play.

"Children are not distractions from more important work. They are the most important work."
